Coaching involves giving both support and challenging opportunities to employees. Knowing how and when to coach is an essential skill that can benefit both you and your business. This one-day workshop will help you become a better coach in all senses of the word.
Following the workshop 3 one hour coaching sessions are provided to support you as you put your learning into practice.
The content includes:
- Defining coaching
- Five critical coaching skills
- Communications skills including non-verbal communication
- Johari Windows – a way of looking at your self-awareness and your ability to ask feedback of others
- Learning styles and principles
- Methods of feedback
- Benefits/consequences approach
- Dealing with problem employees
- When not to coach
At the conclusion of this workshop, you will be able to:
- Understand how coaching can be used to develop your team
- Develop the coaching skills that help improve individual performance
- Demonstrate the behaviours and practices of an effective coach
- Recognise employees’ strengths and give them the feedback they need to succeed
- Identify employee problems and ways you can help to correct them
You will receive a workbook that includes an overview of this training for your future reference
